Chapter Awards

Recognizing members for exceptional contributions to medicine, the community, and the ACP Florida Chapter.

Awards and recognition

The chapter's awards fall into two kinds. Some recognise the work presented at the Annual Scientific Meeting: the clinical vignettes and research abstracts submitted by residents and by medical students, judged on their merits each year. Others recognise a career: sustained service to the College, to the community and to medicine.

What the two have in common is that they are decided by Florida internists about Florida internists. They are the chapter's way of saying, out loud and in front of colleagues, that a particular piece of work or a particular career mattered.

About the Annual Scientific Meeting

Submissions, nominations and recipients

Abstract submission windows, nomination forms and judging criteria are set for each cycle and announced ahead of the Annual Scientific Meeting. Rather than restate dates here that would go stale, this page points you at the meeting itself and at the chapter office.

Past recipients are not yet listed on this site. The chapter is assembling that record, and it will be published here once it is complete and verified. An incomplete honour roll is worse than none. If you are looking for a specific year, write to the chapter and we will find it for you.
