Doctor's Dilemma
Florida's premier medical knowledge competition for residents: fast, friendly, and Jeopardy-style.
A serious test that does not feel like one
Doctor's Dilemma is the chapter's medical knowledge competition for internal medicine residents. Teams from Florida's residency programmes face a Jeopardy-style board of clinical questions, on the buzzer, in front of an audience of their peers.
The format does something a written examination cannot. It asks residents to recall and apply what they know at speed, out loud, with their programme watching. It turns a test into the most enjoyable hour of the meeting. Programmes bring supporters. The rivalry is real and entirely good-natured.
The competition is open to residents, and a programme's entry is arranged through its residency leadership. Details for the next round are published on the chapter's events calendar once they are confirmed.
